Per Una tomato red silk skirt. Don’t be fooled by the naff photo, this skirt is stunning.

Ok, you may look at this skirt and think oh my god, that’s dull, middle of the road and boring.  But this is where the internet or internet retailers let themselves down.  I visited my local Marks & Spencer today, and this was one of the first things I saw on entering the store and it really caught my eye.  Maybe it’s because I’ve been a visual merchandiser myself, but this photo does the skirt absolutely no justice and has been put with the wrong shoes and the glimpse of yellow top may match the embroidery but it’s wrong, wrong, wrong. In reality the skirt is made of 100% silk and has pintuck detailing all over the skirt which along with the flared hem gives it a really fluid silhouette.  The floral embroidery to the asymmetric waist panel gives it a real tropical feel and I think this would be a great item to take on holiday as it has a crinkle effect to it, so will travel well and give you and elegant outfit for a night out. In store there was a beautiful sleeveless top to match it which I can’t find online, so a trip to M & S is in order and sack the stylist!
