Red tartan suit from Topshop as seen on Gok’s Fashion Fix

As much as I love Gok, he does mess with clothes when there is just no need.  This is a great suit from Topshop and certainly didn’t need any bows or embellishments.  Team with some gorgeous shoes and a bag and you’ve got yourself a great work suit that isn’t black like all the designers chose and is cheap at £80.

These shoes from Marks & Spencer in high shine patent add a really different element in the blue shade and are also a bargain at just £19.50.  The satchel handbag is also from the limited collection and comes in at £25.

    I would choose a black or navy shift dress or a pencil skirt and matching colour top so that you have a block of colour that is broken up by the jacket. You can then wear with some funky red shoes to really dress the whole outfit up. You could try and match the red in the jacket to a red skirt or dress which should be fairly easy as the check pattern means it’s easier to get away with something that’s not an exact match. Since the weather has turned so cold you could layer the top with a skinny rib polo jumper, but make sure you keep the sleeves skinny to keep the look sleek.
