This fitted black dress with boat neck collar just goes to show that Hollywood style does not need to break thew bank.  It’s from the petite collection at Dorothy Perkins and costs just £30.  The boat neck collar and cap sleeves give this dress a really sophisticated vintage Audrey Hepburn style, whilst the wide same colour belt give the perfect shape for petite styles since it gives you curves whilst not breaking up the silhouette.

This dress is by Milly and costs £289 from NET-A-PORTER.  Now if the credit crunch isn’t affecting you and you love your designer look, then go spend and be happy!   But personally on this occasion I genuinly prefer the cheaper high street dress and think it would look fab with some funky shoes.
